Product Reviews Reviews.A must for alpine, ice, trad and multi-pitch climbers: The single-strand Alpine Trad Sling offers faster and therefore safer handling in comparison to traditional slings. You wear the Alpine Trad Sling across your chest like a normal round sling, but instead of pulling the sling over your head and arm, just unclip the carabiner and pull the sling from your body.
The Alpine Trad Sling uses the same quantity of material as a round sling, but rather than being stitched into a closed ring, the single-strand construction has a stitched loop at each end to attach a carabiner.
Intermediate belays can be quickly and easily shortened from to 60 or 30 cm. The single strand construction reduces the risk of accidental unclipping. The cm length is including the Wall Key Lock bent gate carabiner. The message has been sent Close. Please try again later.

But draping multiple slings over your shoulders is cumbersome. The solution? The alpine draw. First: With a carabiner on each end of the sling, thread one carabiner through the other. Third: To extend the draw, clip one biner to the piece of protection, unclip the other biner from the quickdraw, and then clip it back to any single strand of the sling. Pull on this biner and— presto!
Carry a sling while working a sport route. If you rack your pro on a gear sling, buy a sling rated to full strength. That way, you can clip it to your pro if you run out of normal slings. On seldom-traveled climbs or alpine routes, always carry at least a couple of slings tied from nylon webbing, versus sewn slings. An untied sling is longer than a sewn sling and is easier to tie around a tree or boulder, or to replace sun-bleached or frayed slings at an anchor.
When sport climbing, use slings to extend hard-to-clip bolts or to keep a carabiner from bending over an edge. A sling can substitute for thin perlon cord for a rappel back-up such as a Bachmann knot or ascending a rope with a prusik or kleimheist knot. Beware: the heat from friction can easily damage thin Spectra or Dyneema slings. Use them this way only in emergencies. A long sling can be used to improvise a "diaper harness.

Mammut works hard each year to make its Dyneema Contact Sling lighter without taking away any of its strength. Like most slings, Mammut made it out of super strong and light Dyneema, but unlike most slings, Mammut's Contact stitching technique ensures optimum handling and strength throughout the sling, even in the seam area.
This makes it ready to please you whether you're sending sandstone, climbing crack, cranking ice, or alpine climbing your way to the top. After using these I move all my other Dyneema slings to the dog kits. Great for trad slings. Use them for all my alpine draws. Combine it with a pair of Camp Nano 22s for an extremely light draw.
They handle well, except sometimes the stitching is annoying when racking. Light weight. Low bulk. Great handling. Get yourself some of these slings. Put the 60s on your alpine draws.

Grab a couple of s for long extensions and slinging natural pro. Throw out your cordalette and build your anchors with a I use these slings for climbing alpine routes in the cascades. This causes a messy rack that catches on other gear etc. In the pic note the neatness of the one season old trango with the newer mammut made in China mess.12v dc motor price in karachi
My mom loves these 8mm Mammut Dyneema slings! She has 12 of the 60mm that she uses for alpine draws for trad climbing. I just purchased her 6 more.
She likes the 8mm thickness-less bulk. They handle well when I am extending them while trad climbing Mammut always delivers! The best sling. The covered seam is a great. Got this sling to pseudo re-sling a cam of mine. I like these slings specifically because they have the seams covered by the tag, making them less likely to snag. The 60cm size is really nice for alpine draws--they're thin and 'slick' and the seam stitching makes them run through the carabiners smoothly.
The cm size--which is not a common size--is perfect for setting up a quad anchor on multipitch routes with bolted hangers. I think I read that off the comments on here, and it's true. Buy these when they go on sale on Backcountry, whether you are a sport climber or a fully realized trad sender, having multiple of these is always useful!
Use this from any where to building anchor systems and alpine draws to using it in a z drag system for boating. Can trust this sling for a multitude of purposes and you should definitely find it in your gear assortment.

Iceland was a life changer. The starkness of the landscape and the fact that we could travel for miles and be the only car on the road was fantastic. Never have felt so safe in any country. Did not have to worry about being shot, molested, or having my pockets picked. The Icelandic people are the most considerate, friendly and helpful of any place I have visited.
Thank you and please thank the people of Iceland for this beautiful experience which we will never forget. Nordic Visitor's travel package, itinerary, bookings for accommodations and optional activities was first rate. We had a wonderful experience. Our drivers at pickup and drop off at the airport were excellent. I visited the office In Reykjavik near the end of our visit in order to thank Anita for assisting in the planning of our wonderful Iceland holiday.
